Nutrition Coaching
You can't out-train a bad diet.
Protein-first, whole-foods nutrition built around your real life — your family, your budget, and the body you're trying to build and keep.
Nutrition is where most men over 50 are losing the fight.
Not because they don't care. Because they've been given the wrong information — or no information at all. Calorie-counting apps. Fad diets. Supplements that promise what food already delivers. And nobody ever taught them the fundamentals.
I had NAFLD — non-alcoholic fatty liver disease — so severe that a doctor told me I'd likely need a liver transplant by the time I was in my mid-50s. I reversed it. Not with medication. With food. With understanding what my body actually needed and eliminating what was quietly destroying it.
That experience, combined with my Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification, is the foundation of how I coach nutrition. Evidence-based. Whole foods. Protein-forward. And built to work in a real household — not a meal-prep fantasy.
I was told I'd need a liver transplant.
At my worst, my NAFLD had progressed to the point where a physician told me that by my mid-50s, I would likely be looking at a liver transplant. I was in my early 40s. I had young children. That was not acceptable to me.
I stopped outsourcing the leadership of my health. I studied the science of metabolic disease, liver function, and dietary intervention. I eliminated the foods that were driving the inflammation and replaced them with a nutrition framework built around whole foods and adequate protein.
My liver has been clean for over a decade. I take zero prescription medications. I'm 57 years old and I am one of the healthiest men I know. Not because I got lucky — because I learned what to do and I did it.
That knowledge is what I bring to every nutrition client.
Clean liver function. No prescription medications. Reversed through food — not drugs.
"Protein isn't a supplement. It's the foundation."
The protein-centric approach.
Men over 50 are in a battle against sarcopenia — the age-related loss of muscle mass. Most are losing that battle without knowing it. The single most important nutritional intervention you can make is getting enough high-quality protein, consistently, every day.
My approach starts there. We build your nutrition around a protein target that supports your training, preserves your muscle mass, and keeps you satiated. Everything else — carbohydrates, fats, meal timing — is built around that foundation.
This isn't a diet. It's a nutritional framework you understand and own. One you can apply for the rest of your life without tracking every calorie or buying specialty foods.
Whole Foods First
No industrial processed food. No seed oils. No products engineered to be hyperpalatable and nutritionally hollow. We eat real food — meat, eggs, vegetables, fruit, legumes, whole grains. Food your great-grandmother would recognize.
Protein as Priority
We set a protein target based on your body weight and training load, then build every meal around hitting it. Chicken, beef, fish, eggs, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese. Real sources. Not protein bars and shakes as a substitute for food.
Family-Friendly by Design
I have five kids. I know what it means to feed a family on a real budget without cooking two separate meals. Your nutrition plan will work for your household — not just for you at 6am before anyone else is awake.
The Economy of Eating Well
Eating well doesn't require a Whole Foods budget. I'll teach you how to source high-quality protein and produce affordably, how to batch cook efficiently, and how to make the grocery store work for your goals — not against them.
Metabolic Health & Liver Function
I reversed NAFLD through nutrition. I understand the dietary drivers of metabolic dysfunction — insulin resistance, visceral fat, inflammatory foods — and how to address them systematically. If your bloodwork isn't where it should be, we can work on that.
Education, Not Dependency
You'll understand why every recommendation exists. The science behind protein synthesis. Why certain fats matter. How carbohydrate timing affects your training. When you leave, you leave with a nutritional education — not a meal plan that falls apart the moment I'm gone.
What nutrition coaching includes
A personalized protein and macronutrient target based on your body and your goals
A whole-foods meal framework — not a rigid meal plan, but a structure you can adapt
Grocery strategy: what to buy, where to buy it, and how to make it affordable
Education on the science behind every recommendation — so you own it, not just follow it
Metabolic health guidance: blood sugar, insulin sensitivity, liver health, inflammation
Integration with your fitness program — nutrition and training designed to work together
Food is the first intervention.
If you're ready to understand what your body actually needs — and stop guessing — let's talk. One conversation. No pressure. I'll give you something useful whether you hire me or not.
